$100,000 for new Men's Shed in Beaufort

The communities of Beaufort and Clunes are set to benefit from a major investment in local men’s sheds, helping more men learn valuable skills, stay connected and give back to their communities – thanks to a new round of funding from the Allan Labor Government.

Member for Ripon Martha Haylett today announced both the Beaufort and Clunes Men’s Sheds will receive funding as part of the 2024-25 Men’s Shed Funding Program, ensuring they have welcoming and well-equipped spaces to work on projects, make friends and access support.

The Beaufort Men’s Shed will receive $100,000 as part of the program to construct a new shed, after their facility was flooded in 2022, causing significant structural damage to the building.

The Clunes Men’s Shed will receive $10,000 to help construct a new Young Men’s Shed for the community – the first of its kind in our region.

Men’s sheds are more than just a place to tinker, they’re an important support network for men right across Victoria helping them to learn important skills from woodworking to home repairs, while providing a sense of purpose and community.
