Tiny towns across our region can now apply for grants to create more local projects and stronger
connections through the Allan Labor Government’s new Tiny Towns Fund.
Member for Ripon Martha Haylett today encouraged local community groups to apply for a Tiny Towns
grant, with applications open from today, Monday 27 November.
From new barbecues at the park to upgraded community halls, these projects will make a difference to
the communities that need them across our region.
The Fund will offer grants between $5,000 and $50,000 to deliver infrastructure projects, such as hiking
trails, splash parks, playgrounds, community centre and library upgrades, public art and more.
Eligible applicants include community and non-profit groups and councils in towns with under 5,000
people across regional and rural Victoria.
The Victorian Government’s record $41 billion investment in rural and regional Victoria over the past
decade means small communities are already growing from projects that have helped them become even
better places to live and visit.
With more people than ever before choosing lifestyles away from major cities, new initiatives like the
Tiny Towns Fund will help ensure our smaller communities continue to flourish.
Round 1 of the Tiny Towns Fund is open until February 2024, with further rounds to be available from
next year. To find out more about the Fund and apply, visit rdv.vic.gov.au/tiny-towns-fund.
