Member for Ripon, Martha Haylett today congratulated both Ararat West Primary School and Beaufort Primary School as two of 58 successful schools that will share in $25 million for for a range of small-scale refurbishments, such as bathroom, playground, and fencing repairs, through the 2024/25 round of the Labor Government’s Capital Works Fund.

Beaufort Primary School will receive $497,696 to build a cover for the school’s basketball courts. It will provide shade and rain cover so students can use the courts in all types of weather.

We are getting on with the job of building new schools as we gear up to open 100 new schools by 2026.

The Victorian School Building Authority will work with successful schools from early 2025 to deliver their projects.

All construction is set to be finished by the end of May 2026.
