The Allan Labor Government is helping St Arnaud businesses to better attract and retain workers
across local industries, with eight new worker houses to help boost local service delivery and
economic growth.

Member for Ripon Martha Haylett today visited the Gray Street Apartments Worker Accommodation
site, delivered as part of Round Two of the Labor Government’s Regional Worker Accommodation
Fund.

The project will construct eight one-bedroom self-contained units with additional shared facilities,
creating an additional eight bedrooms.

The St Arnaud worker houses are another example of the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund
backing regional suppliers to deliver solutions to worker housing shortages.

The Government’s support for the project is part of a record $47 billion investment in just over a decade
to drive economic growth and make Victoria’s regions even better places to live, work, stay,
experience, invest and study. For more information, visit rdv.vic.gov.au.

Across Ripon, the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund is delivering 25 new homes for workers in
Ararat, 10 new homes for workers in Beaufort and 8 new homes for workers in Maryborough.

“Building more homes in St Arnaud means local workers can live where they work and businesses can
finally secure the staff they need. It will boost our local economy and keep jobs and families in rural
Victoria.”
